Hey guys, I’m Walther, I’m 44, I’m a husband, a father of two and im a long distance ultra runner.
I run on an average 10 hours a week and I work full time.
This is me and my journey the last 10 years.
Back then I was a totally different person. I was overweight, a heavy smoker, working in construction, and not into fitness at all.
I worked alot, ate bad food and drank a lot of beers while smoking 30 cigarettes a day.
Then, I hurt my back— for half a year I could barely walk. That was a turning point for me. I started training and I was going to a lot of physio sessions just to build some strength in my back.
I quit smoking, saved up for a push bike, and began riding to the gym.
From there, I started running and eventually got into CrossFit. I even made the switch to a vegetarian diet. With help from nutritionists I got really into healthy eating habits.
For four years, CrossFit was my thing, but I wanted more, so I combined it with running, doing half marathons, full marathons, and obstacle races.
I have read and studied a lot about training, motivation and nutrition. I also have worked with multiple coaches and nutritionists the last few years to get a broader understanding and knowledge about fueling for training.
And I know how important it is to combine this two to be successful and injury free.
Over the last two years, I been diving deep into long-distance running—road and trail.
This year alone, I completed multiple half marathons, marathons, and two 100km ultra trail races.
It’s been a crazy ride, but fitness and running have totally transformed my life.
If I can do it, anyone can. It’s all about starting where you are and pushing yourself to be better each day.
2025 for me will be a year with lots of races, 70km ultra trail marathon in Vietnam, half marathon, marathons, couple of 100km Trail races. With the big goal of hopefully completing a big 100miler (163 km).
I have learned that running is about more than just the kilometres. It’s about smart training, proper nutrition, the right gear, and staying mentally strong. After seeing how much these elements have helped me improve my running, I realised that I want to help others achieve their running goals, too.
That’s why I’ve taken the leap and started my online business, offering personalised training plans, running schedules, nutrition advice, race-day strategies, and insights into some right gear.
